![]() ![]() Sometimes a Windows virtualization feature kicks in when it sees such bad behavior, that will silently redirect those writes (and copies of the files) to the AppData folder but that is intended for legacy apps written in the days before this protection was enforced (mostly business apps). It's also likely you could have had a problem and never knew that was the root cause and fixed it by some other more risky method such as some do by running Reaper with admin privileges which should NEVER be required and/or other less desirable actions. This lies in the fact that Windows protects those folders and it's always a risk to use them for anything that may, even if inadvertently, try to save settings such as VSTs do for example. It's not really something where the answer lies in "I haven't seen a problem" because you may not depending, but eventually will or add additional risk by disabling security features. No, I've never had the problem, I know they shouldn't go there so I've had zero issues. ![]() I know you can put them any where you want but I've not had any problems. Humm, I've had them there from day 1 and not had a problem. ![]() Aah karbo, so you've had a problem with that. ![]()
